My goal in creating a Landscape Design is to bring your vision and ideas into existence. I have extensive knowledge of the plants that grow in Florida and strive to give you the most successful combination of plants for a long-lasting, sustainable design. I follow a 90% / 10% rule. Ninety percent of the plants are tough, low maintenance plants that can easily endure our tough climate conditions. Ten percent of the plants might need a little special care but they provide more interest. The end result is a landscape that should only need to be maintained 4 times a year. I like to combine native plants, Florida friendly plants and some tropicals. As I was trained as a New England Designer, I combine plants in groups to enhance each other unlike the traditional Florida Landscape which is large groupings of the same plants. I also like to incorporate annuals and perennials in the beds and in pots to provide seasonal color.
The design is hand drawn with a plant list that gives the botanical and common name of the plants. This plan can be given to a landscaper of your choice or I can provide you with a competent landscaper and supervise the installation of the plan to its completion. You will also receive an online presentation of the plan showing the layout as well as pictures of the specific plants.
