About Victoria’s Bloomers

Hi, my name is Victoria K Crocker and I am the landscape designer and owner of Victoria’s Bloomers in Clearwater, FL. Most of my career has been in the Nursery and Landscape Industry. I majored in Botany and Business in college and came out of college and opened a nursery on Cape Cod, MA. I ran that nursery for 23 years doing various jobs but ending up as the Grower over all of our greenhouses which grew annuals and perennials for our retail trade. I left the nursery in 2000 to do Landscape Design on Cape Cod. It was exciting to be creating designs for others as opposed to growing and selling plants. I designed and supervised the installation at 2 Golf Courses in the area, one in Brewster and one in Chatham.

I moved to Clearwater, FL in 2004 but did not professionally do Landscape Design until 2018. However during the years, I was learning about all the plants and how to plant and care for plants in Florida. I was also doing part time designs for family and friends. In 2018, I restarted my design company under the name of Victoria’s Bloomers. I have been doing designs and supervising installations since then with trusted landscapers that work with me. 

My goal when designing is to take your ideas for your yard and make them into a reality keeping in mind your life style, maintenance and seasonality. I want to give you a landscape design that is sustainable, not one that needs to be replaced in a year. The plants will be planted in the correct location, have the proper soil preparation and will be spaced so they have room to grow.  I like to mix types of plants for interest but generally use Florida Friendly plants, natives and some tropicals.
