This is a 3-hour, in-person workshop where you will learn the 50 essential plants that will thrive in Florida’s environment, and how to plan out, design and install your design so you can have a gorgeous, thriving, landscape all year long.
This is not just a lecture, this is a workshop, you will go through an actual design, choosing plants, and problem-solving. At the end of this workshop you will have the tools and resources to apply this to your own house - the front yard for curb appeal, the backyard for a quiet oasis - whatever you want to create!
We will have real plants there so you can see all of the 50 plants in person and get to know their size, textures and colors. After the workshop, these will be available for purchase.
This workshop is ideally for people located in zone 10. If you don’t know your zone, you can check your zip code here.
There is plenty of parking. Light refreshments will be served. 30% of proceeds will be donated to local community charities.
As part of your class materials you will get:
A deck of the Florida 50 Cards
Worksheets for design exercises
Handouts with information on light, soil, design basics and more so you can refer back to what we go over in the workshop.
A grid paper notebook to take notes and start sketching out your designs
A stencil for drawing out different-sized plantings
Pencils and colored pencils will be available for drawing your designs.
